near to Eglwys Fach, Ceredigion/Sir Ceredigion, Great Britain

Afon Dyfi from the railway bridge at Cyffordd Dyfi / Dovey Junction
Looking upstream from the single track railway bridge crossing the Dyfi estuary. The bridge was built in the 1860s and is sited at the eastern end of the broad tidal valley of the Dyfi, some 12km inland along the river from the coast proper. The river continues to be tidal upstream, although within a more defined river bed, for another 4km to Derwenlas. The most downstream river crossing by road, Pont ar Ddyfi Link
at Machynlleth, is another 4km upstream. Picture taken from a train.
