SO5170 : Train's coming

taken 16 years ago, near to Ashford Bowdler, Shropshire, England

Train's coming
Train's coming
Descending barriers trap me in Ashford Bowdler. Until the late 1960s there were manual gates here.

It is planned to close the crossing and build a road in from the north to access the parts of Ashford Bowdler within the railway. This will have the unfortunate side effect of splitting the village clean in half with no communication between the two parts.
