Douglas Castle Parkland
View over one of several lochs in this beautiful parkland towards the ruins of Douglas Castle or Castle Dangerous. This parkland is a very popular local resource and also inludes a Polish Memorial garden to soldiers who settled in Douglas after fleeing to Britain when Poland was invaded during World War Two, and the Cameronians Disbandment Cairn which commemarates this Regiment which was formed in Douglas in 1689 and disbanded in 1968.
