Douglas is a beautiful and historic town just two miles off the M74 Motorway, Its roots go back over a thousand years and in the old part of the town a maze of alleyways and the historic St Brides Church can be found as well as a Heritage Museum telling of the town's history as a mining and wool-making town and of its important part in the history of Scotland.
