NZ6703 : Grouse Butt internals

Grouse Butt internals
Grouse Butt internals
Some of Grouse shooting butts on Westerdale Moor are quite substantial, and being regularly maintained with peat and heather clumps banked up around the dry stone wall interior, they almost resemble miniature pre-historic dwellings.
In some locations shooting butts may be seen formed from an old pallet with some loose heather stalks threaded through it.
