Silver birch between Honey Hill and Halfpenny Green, New Forest
The western side of Honey Hill slopes down to Halfpenny Green, and imbetween the ancient oaks are more recent silver birches. The old multi-trunked silver birch in the foreground has very coarse bark, in contrast to the smooth white bark of younger trees.
