Fringe of silver birch on the eastern edge of Halfpenny Green, New Forest
The New Forest is a place of "edges" - here we have the wet grassland of Halfpenny Green on the left, a well-trodden path (the green part) and a fringe of silver birch with the woodland of Honey Hill on the right. The path leads to the footbridge over Shepton Water at Pebble Ford.
