This spot marks one of the few higher points at 152 metres in an otherwise flat and featureless landscape. Muirneag, the highest point in North Lewis at 248 metres can be seen in the distance. Sgrithabhal summit is used by birds of prey as a vantage point and they have turnrd the vegetation bright green with their droppings.
