Castle Rushen and the Queen Elizabeth clock
Castle Rushen and the Queen Elizabeth clock
The clock was presented by Queen Elizabeth I in 1597, while she held the island in trust pending a dispute. The clock is of simple construction with only one hand, but still keeps very good time.
