Appleslade Inclosure, New Forest
On the left, Scots pine; on the right, oak. This inclosure contains roughly equal proportions of deciduous and coniferous trees. Some of the coniferous areas are surrounded by a six-foot deer fence. The path in this photo leads uphill from the Appleslade car park to Red Shoot Wood and Red Shoot Plain.
