Marshcroft Farm

This view of Marshcroft Farm is taken from Marshcroft Lane near to the entrance to SP9413 : Track near Marshcroft Farm. From Grove Road to the canal bridge, Marshcroft Lane is a public highway (marked as yellow on the map) - a few yards beyond the bridge however is a gate which marks where it becomes a Restricted Byway, which walkers, cyclists and horse-riders can freely use, but cars and other vehicles do not have a right of way, but may have permission to use it for example to access the farm. Restricted Byways replaced the old "RUPP"s (Roads Used as Public Paths) which were always a contentious classification, with confusing rights of way associated with them.
