NT3171 : Fort Kinnaird

taken 13 years ago, near to Newcraighall, Edinburgh, Great Britain

This is 1 of 2 images, with title Fort Kinnaird. in this square
Fort Kinnaird.
Fort Kinnaird.
"Fort" now means drive in shopping centre. Glasgow has one too - I expect the new meaning to the word comes from Birmingham's Fort Dunlop - a model for this kind of development. Once a colliery, now a busy roundabout surrounded by tin sheds.
