The Pantheon, Portmeirion
The porch was originally part of the fireplace in the picture gallery of Dawpool, a house by Richard Norman Shaw on the Wirral. It was re-erected here by Clough Williams-Ellis in 1957, the domed building behind following from 1959-62. Below it is a loggia housing a statue of Buddha which came from the set of "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness", filmed in the nearby mountains (standing in for China) in 1959.

Unfortunately for Geograph, the village straddles a grid line, so this has to be a supplemental as I was standing in the next square!
