Starbucks, Baker Street

I had to visit London today and I felt the urge to walk down Baker Street having grown up in the 70's when Gerry Rafferty's hit single 'Baker Street' was hitting the charts at just about the same time as I started taking an interest in pop music. Back then Baker Street to me was a place i'd probably never visit, but a sense of place was created in my imagination through listening to the lyrics and the music. Funny what draws us to go to the places we wouldn't normally visit in our daily lives and yet which to others are part of their everyday experiences. I'm glad i finally got the chance to spend a little time here.
