The station at Milcote shortly after closure in 1966. The platform edging has been removed to save on maintenance but the GWR bench outside the station building has not yet been snatched up by 'souvenir hunters'. The Birmingham to Cheltenham via Stratford route continued to be used by diverted long-distance trains, as in this view.
