Milcote signal box in 1966

Milcote Station closed to passengers in 1966, though the signal box was to continue to guard the level crossing for another ten years before final closure of the railway south of Stratford upon Avon. This picture was taken one Sunday shortly after closure of the station, with the box manned to deal with long-distance passenger trains between Birmingham and the southwest diverted from the Lickey route.
