Lane with walled fields

A very typical view of the plateau of the island, which is divided into a huge number of small fields. There is more soil here, and the grass has grown long, though there is no great sign of active grazing so far away from the houses. It is just possible to see that the far wall of the right-most field of this image includes an enormous erratic boulder of a coarse, pink sandstone whose origin I cannot determine.
