NY2006 : Mickledore and Scafell Crag
3 km from Wasdale Head, Cumbria, Great Britain

Mickledore and Scafell Crag
Mickledore is the narrow ridge at the lowest point between Scafell Pike and Scafell. It is seen here looking from the Scafell Pike end. The slightly less vertical portion of Scafell Crag rising immediately beyond is Broad Stand, an easy rock climb but one that plenty of walkers have found too much of an obstacle. The gully to the right of Broad Stand is Mickledore Chimney with East Buttress to the left of it. On the right side of the picture (in shade) is Central Buttress
