SO5924 : The old Castle Inn

taken 9 years ago, near to Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, Great Britain

The old Castle Inn
The old Castle Inn
Set at the junction of Wilton Road and Wye Street, this was a pub until the 1960's when the building was converted into flats.
To the left is an architect-designed house on the site of the Lerego Garage. The siting and design is of importance to the town as the site is central to the "classic" view of the town from the river; see SO5924 : Ross-on-Wye from the Bypass and the same scene in 1980, NT0067 : Tailend Moss..
