These were a series of bridges taking a considerable number of railway lines across the road. All have been demolished, except the one at the far end, which can be seen in this view:- SU1585 : The White House, Corporation Street, and Whitehouse Bridges.
The advertising slogan, Arkell's B.B.B., stands for Arkell's Best Bitter Beer. Arkells are a long established family owned local brewery, dating from the 19th century, and are still in business today. They still brew B.B.B. or Three B's, as it's usually known, too.
