Walking down the hill, I wondered if this was an an ancient stone, but the east face of it is inscribed, "With love. We will remember Janet and William Crawford who died 12 June 1974 and 30 May 1980". What a lovely way to be commemorated, on the open hillside with a fine view across the Muir of Dess below.
