Yew tree in Ashurst Wood, New Forest
Yew tree in Ashurst Wood, New Forest
In this ancient woodland you will usually see oak and beech trees, with holly bushes imbetween. There is also the occasional yew, like this one close to the entrance gate to Ashurst Lodge. The foliage is poisonous to grazing stock if eaten in huge quantities.
