Towards Dunstanburgh Castle
Towards Dunstanburgh Castle
The castle still presents a threatening pose, even though it has been derelict since the 1650s. The original see-flooded moat can be seen from here, which would have virtually cut off the castle at high tide, making it easily defendable.
