The remains of Balloch township
The RCAHMS database Link
describes these as the footings of an enclosed depopulated township, named Balloch in an upland glen comprising about 46 buildings, 8 small enclosures and 2 corn-drying kilns. Reason and date of depopulation is not known but it was probably due to the introduction of sheep in the early 19th century.
