Larig Meran
Larig Meran
Gleann Meran leaves upper Glen Lyon to the north and forms a low pass across otherwise continuously high hills. It was once an important through route but is probably little visited now that the railway station at Gorton has closed and Glen Lyon was flooded. There have been plans since Telford's day to build a road though here, but the glen is probably safe now.
View from on Beinn a' Chreachain to the Allt Learg Mheuran on the Argyll (north) side of the pass.
