Barlennan plantation
Barlennan plantation
Getting up early has it's rewards! Swirling morning mist surrounds Barlennan plantation, seen from the Dickie Wood at Kirkcowan. There are two separate woods both called Barlennan Plantation, one to the east of the village and one to the west. The name is from the Gaelic 'barr leanain' - top of the haugh.
