Interior of the Cathedral, Lincoln
Interior of the Cathedral, Lincoln
This bell is called Great Tom of Lincoln, which has been recast after having been accidentally broken. It is six feet high, six feet ten and a half inches broad, and weighs five tons eight hundred-weight.
The bell tower is very dark, so much so that the bells are not easy to see. The image was greatly enhanced.
It requires a climb of 338 steps to get to. EDIT - not quite 338 steps, that's all the way to the top of the tower.
