Interior of the Cathedral, Lincoln
There are a lot of steps to the top of the tower, 338 in fact. They get progressively smaller and the width progressively narrower the higher you climb. There are handrails around the circumference at the start, which gives way to a rope which twists around the centre of the spiral. If you don't like heights or confined spaces, then don't climb the tower. Wear good shoes if you decide to go up and be prepared to spend an hour or more on the tour.
