Wild goats in Waterford city
These goats have lived on Bilberry Rock in Waterford for hundreds of years. It is an ancient breed related to cashmere or maltese goats. They live on 14 acres which used to be commonage, but has been bought by a developer, so their habitat and existence are at risk. See Link
. On a wet morning, the goats were sheltering under a tree, and I was glad to stop cycling and shelter under another tree until the rain eased off.
