Two-Tree Island, Southern Sea Wall, 1987
This is taken facing the opposite way from TQ8285 : Two-Tree Island, South-eastern Corner, 1987. The pool to the right-centre is brackish and partially tidal. In this image, there are partly exposed areas of mud. The bank just behind the bushes had (in 1987) partially exposed areas of waste flue deposits from an old gasworks. These contained high quantities of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs). Image TQ8284 : Two-Tree Island, Southern Sea Wall, 1987 was taken from the far end of this path.
