Bridge 108, Swindon and Cricklade Railway, Blunsdon
The heritage railways has long had plans to extend the line south along the original route of the Midland and South Western Junction Railway as far as Mouldon Hill about two kilometres away. One of the obstacles to that aim was the crossing over the River Ray just visible here beneath the railings. In 1992 the bridge was re-instated and about a kilometre of track has been laid. Work on heritage lines as small as the SCR always takes time and it isn't possible to say with certainty when the project will be completed.
