The Imperial War Museum at Duxford
Duxford Aerodrome, located 15km South of Cambridge, is a branch of the Imperial War Museum. It houses many large exhibits including both civil and military aircraft, and military vehicles, and hosts a number of very popular air shows each year.

The speed and range of the Douglas DC-3 "Dakota" revolutionized air transport during the 1930s and 1940s, and it is generally regarded to be one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made - it is also a particularly handsome aircraft. Between 1935 and 1946 over 16,000 DC-3s were produced for civil and military use, and many remain operational today including the example shown here.
