NN3747 : Water of Tulla

taken 8 years ago, near to Dùn Laeghan [other Features], Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Water of Tulla
Water of Tulla
A major headwater of the Orchy, draining some of the Argyll part of Rannoch Moor. Taken just before the moor gets going, on relatively dry ground covered in extensive glacial deposits, a field trip dream. It would be good orienteering terrain too, if more accessible, a possible 6 days venue for the future?
View upstream with the Gorton and Rowantree Cottage road on the north bank, railway and pylons on the south side of the river. Ahead, Rannoch Moor although the nearby bit of the moor has been trashed by conifer plantations.
