The cliffs at Gaitnip
The cliffs at Gaitnip
Accounts of the sinking of HMS Royal Oak often state that she was at anchor below the cliffs at Gaitnip. These are those cliffs, but they are over a kilometre from the wreck. The buildings to the left are Gaitnip Farm, imposing new build, centre.
