White Post revisited
White Post revisited
The signpost was replaced shortly after TQ8556 : White Post, Hollingbourne Hill was taken and then disappeared again. This further replacement seems to be surviving quite well. Whether they get stolen by folk who want to own a sign to Hucking and Wormshill or suffer as the result of accidents I'm not sure. The post has been painted completely white for many years (even when black and white stripes were more common) and the guide post at the next crossroads on Ringlestone Road (to the right) is painted completely black and known as Black Post.
