SE0586 : Pile of stones

taken 12 years ago, near to West Witton, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Pile of stones.
Pile of stones.
The description on the 1:25,000 map doesn't do justice to this cairn on the very eastern end of the Penhill massif. Its base is roughly 10' x 10' and it is a very prominent feature of this landscape. It lies just SE of the ancient Penhill beacon. Looking NE.
