On reflection the decision to ascend Lingmell directly from Deep Gill was a bad one and bitterly regretted in the waist high Heather and Bracken. Some comfort was gained by gorging handfuls of grape sized Bilberries on the steep climb.Ennerdale Lake and Bowness Knott in shot.
