The Ord
The Ord
Although much of the area from Helmsdale to Berridale is called the Ord this is the Ord propper. The A9 from Edinburgh, and the main one into Caithness rises from sea level to little more than 220 mts AMSL but it's exposed and can be very tricky to impassable in poor winter weather. This the Sutherland Caithness border from the Sutherland side.
