River Sligachan
River Sligachan
The river seen on a perfect September morning.
It's a spate river NG4829 : River Sligachan in spate with levels rising and falling very quickly indeed in line with rainfall and snow-melt. In its final section, here, it carries the combined water draining from all of the big corries (Harta, Riabhach, Bhasteir and Fionn)at the north end of the Cuillin, the water running over rock the whole way.
