Cow Green Dam
Cow Green Dam
This concrete wall holds back 40,000 million litres of water to provide Middlesbrough and Cleveland with this utility. Controversial when built between 1967 and 1971 on its effect on Cauldron Snout just below it, and the loss of rare flora due to flooding.
