The Drake Stone
This huge sandstone boulder has been polished and scratched by movements of the ice sheet during the last glaciation. Supposedly, the largest boulder in Northumberland, it is 9 metres high and weighs in excess of 2000 tons. It is said to possess magical healing powers.
