SO4180 : No Public Right of Way - apparentlyThis road is next to and runs parallel with a sunken lane which is a public footpath. The "path" is hard going which may have provoked this sign. Why anyone should be bothered if someone was on a road, 10m from the "official" path is quite baffling. Worse still, the biased laws in England favour this behaviour.
The hills here are full of parallel gullies where once a road sinks too far into the soft limestone, a new track line is taken up. These are from before the age of Me!
