September is a particularly colourful month in the upper parts of this valley. This year the rowan trees have been especially abundantly covered in berries, adding brilliant colour as the light changes during the day. Prior to the day of this image, no rain had fallen for about two weeks.

This image was obtained from by the Tywi bridge, soon to be replaced. Maybe someone can contact me when it has been done. The popular mountain road between Tregaron and Abergwesyn will be closed there (for vehicles) for a fortnight, probably in October 2009.
