NS7171 : Mollins, new line of road

taken 9 years ago, near to Mollinsburn, North Lanarkshire, Great Britain

Mollins, new line of road
Mollins, new line of road
The route the build section of the M80 will be laid along the axis of the Luggie Water as these earth works show. To the immediate right of the photo the O.S. have marked as the location of the Roman fortlet at Mollins. Any trace there may have been - and it is doubtful if there was any - will be totally obliterated by new earthworks.
