NR8393 : Dunadd Fort, Kilmartin

taken 20 years ago, near to Bridgend, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Dunadd Fort, Kilmartin
The fort is managed by Historic Scotland and please be aware there is no proper footpath to it. There is a path which wends it way through and over rock. If you were to fall and break your ankle at the top of this, it would be very difficult to get back down. However, there is a good hospital at Lochgilphead. If you haven't guessed, yes, I am speaking from experience!

There are all sorts of legends associated with the carving at the top and it is well worth a look for the views and the carving - I would go back, albeit a bit more carefully!
