SE7593 : Sitka Spruce in Cropton Forest
4 km from Stape, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Sitka Spruce in Cropton Forest
These trees were planted about 1990 as a second crop following almost clear felling of the original similar spruce trees planted around 1950.
Sitka seems to do very well here; it apparently likes to be close planted and every acre can grow a tremendous amount of woody material.
