This is the view looking across to the north-east end of Inner Lough, Dartrey, from 30 foot up on the roof of the temple erected on Black Island in the 1770s by Thomas Dawson, owner of the beautiful Dartrey estate. The small island at the far end of the Lough is probably a ‘crannog’ Link
