The Usher Hall, Edinburgh
The Usher Hall, Edinburgh
This Hall, which is Edinburgh's principal Concert Venue, was opened in 1914 and can hold approximately 2900 people in its recently restored auditorium, which is well loved by performers due to its acoustics. The Hall is flanked on both sides by theatres. On the right the white building is The Royal Lyceum Theatre, which was completed in 1883, and the cylindrical building to the left is the entrance to The Traverse Theatre, which was completed in 1992, and above which a view of Edinburgh Castle can be seen.
