Footpath to Chillenden windmill
Chillenden post mill is one of the last to be built in Kent. Situated a kilometre to the north of the village, it was erected in 1868. In 1949 a severe storm damaged the mill but it was bought by Kent County Council in 1958 and restored. By 1983 more restoration was needed but in 2003 high winds brought it down. However, it was rebuilt and opened to the public in 2005.
