River Arun at Arundel and a little egret
The little egret is a small white heron with white plumage, black legs and bill and yellow feet. It first appeared in the UK in significant numbers in 1989 and first bred here in 1996. According to the RSPB web site there are currently about 150 breeding pairs in the country.
